Strictly Come Dancing fans have said they 'can tell' how much taking part in the show means to Pete Wicks after they rushed to support him following his emotional admission.

The podcast host and Jowita Przystal opened the dancing on Saturday night (November 2) after making it through to week seven of the BBC One dance contest while riding high following their Halloween Week performance last weekend.

But after a 'tough week', Pete and Jowita's latest performance live in the ballroom didn't go their way. Dressed as the late Freddie Mercury for the show's first-ever 'Icons Week', the podcast host and reality star performed to a salsa to Queen's Another One Bites the Dust.

After their salsa, Pete, who could be heard repeatedly telling dance partner Jowita "I’m sorry" to which she replied "it’s ok".

It was then confirmed during Sunday night's (November 3) results show that Pete and Jowita had made it through to week eight of the hit dance show despite landing bottom of the leaderboard with 22 out of a possible 40 points.

Talking to Claudia after the results were revealed, Pete had an emotional admission. He said: "I can't believe I'm still here and part of me feels like I probably don't deserve to be here!" to which Claudia argued: "No, no, no, no!"

Pete then continued: "Thank you, genuinely, thank you everyone. I am so happy to still be here!" And Strictly fans were quick to show their support on social media.
