Big Brother UK's new 'icon' uncovered as Coronation Street star leaving fans 'obsessed'

Big Brother viewers have said they're 'obsessed' after realising where they've seen one of the new housemates before. The social experiment reality show, hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best, returned to screens on Sunday night (October 6).

The launch show saw 16 new housemates from all over the UK into the iconic house. But some eagle-eyed viewers thought housemate Emma Morgan looked familiar, and it turns out the 53-year-old is no stranger to the small screen.

Emma is an aesthetics business owner, from Altrincham, and was the second housemate to enter the Big Brother house on Sunday, revealing she couldn't decide whether she would bring the 'peace' or 'drama' to the house.

Following her entrance, viewers of the show were quick to share their views on social media, already dubbing her' iconic' while also make the prediction that she could win the whole show before it's properly got underway.

But some have now discovered that has made multiple cameo appearances in Coronation Street as a nurse, with one viewer sharing on X, alongside clips of her appearances: "Obsessed with the fact that Emma from Big Brother is a former Page 3 model who's played a nurse in Coronation Street not once but twice".

And it's not just Corrie she's been part of, OK Magazine reports, as Emma is also said to have starred in Hollyoaks and Emmerdale, alongside many theatre productions, following a career as a glamour model in the 1990s.

These days, Emma is an aesthetics business owner whose daughter told her to apply and confesses her 'jaw dropped' when she was accepted into the show. Describing herself as a 'mother hen' during her entrance into the house, she joked she's '21' and admitted she wears pants with 'built-in butt cheeks' to ramp up her assets.

Sharing what she thinks she'll bring to the house, Emma said: "I'm going to bring peace and harmony and a whole lot of laughter - that's going to be me. But saying that, I could go in there and be the one to cause all the drama. I would like to think I'm the peacemaker."

"People ask me if I'm going to be the mother hen in the house - I might have times where I'm the mother hen but generally speaking I'll be one of the girls. I don't think I really act my age when I really should so I can't see myself acting my age in Big Brother."
