Kristen Bell and Adam Brody team up in Netflix's Nobody Wants This - meet the whole cast

The up-and-coming Netflix series "Nobody Wants This" is set to debut on September 26, and fans of comedy-drama can anticipate a personal touch in its making. The series draws inspiration from the real-life events of creator Erin Foster, focusing on the central character Joanne, a sex podcast host with a notorious track record in her personal relationships.

Joanne's life takes a twist when she encounters the unorthodox rabbi, Noah, striking an improbable connection. With their bond blossoming amidst chaos, they face life's trials together including unwarranted interference from their families and contrasting outlooks on lifea narrative unfolding in 10 punchy episodes that last between 20 to 30 minutes each.

Erin Foster gave readers a glimpse into her muse for the show in a statement to Tudum: "This show is based on the only good decision I ever made: falling for a nice Jewish boy. But I realized that being happy is way harder than being miserable (there's nothing to complain about)."

She added, "So, I created this show based on all the ways that finding the right person can be so hard. Nobody Wants This, but we do, and that's all that matters."

The cast features names familiar to audiences from both the big screen and the small screen.

Taking on the role of Joanne is Kristen Bell, aged 44, an American actress with origins on the stage. She rose to fame as the lead in the detective series Veronica Mars before appearing in Heroes and Gossip Girl.

Bell is also known from Forgetting Sarah Marshall and her voiceover work as Princess Anna in Disney's blockbuster, Frozen.

She is wedded to actor Dax Shepard, and the couple share two daughters.

Noah's character is portrayed by Adam Brody, a 44 year old American actor who shot to fame as Seth Cohen in the Fox television series The O. C.

He both starred in and produced the television series StartUp and has made appearances in Shazam! and Fleishman Is in Trouble.

Prior to his acting career, he attended MiraCosta College for a year, leaving at the age of 19 to pursue his Hollywood dreams.

He is married to actress Leighton Meester, and they have a son and a daughter.

Justine Lupe takes on the role of Joanne's sister, Morgan. The 35 year old American actress is recognised for her role as Willa Ferreyra in Succession.

Audiences may also recognise her from Cristela, Mr Mercedes and The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.

Her grandmother, Kay Schomp, has a theatre named in her honour at the Denver School of the Arts.

Sasha, Noah's brother, is played by Timothy Simons, a 46 year old American actor and comedian.

He is most famous for his role as Jonah Ryan in the HBO series, Veep. He has also appeared in The Interview and The Boss.

The star is married to Annie Simons, and they are parents to two children.

Esther, Sasha's wife, is portrayed by Jackie Tohn, an American actress and musician.

She is known for her roles as MelRose in Netflix's GLOW and Courtenay Fortney in the Amazon series The Boys.

She participated in the eighth season of American Idol, progressing to the semi-finals.

Emily Arlook portrays Rebecca, Noah's ex-girlfriend. The 34 year old American actress is recognised for her roles in Grown-ish, Big Time Adolescence and You People.

Her father, Richard Arlook, is a talent manager and film producer. She is engaged to actor Will McCormack, and they have two children together.

Shiloh Bearman plays Miriam, Sasha's daughter. The young actress has previously starred in Home Economics as Gretchen.

The remaining cast includes Michael Hitchcock as Henry, Paul Ben-Victor as Ilan, Sherry Cola as Ashley, Stephanie Faracy as Lynn and Tovah Feldshuh as Bina.
