BBC Strictly Come Dancing star 'won't be performing this weekend' after injury blow

One of Strictly Come Dancing's 14 remaining couples won't be able to perform this weekend after suffering a fresh injury blow. Nick Knowles has reportedly suffered a second injury after recently being given the all-clear to perform after hurting his shoulder.

The DIY SOS star's future in the BBC One dance contest was recently left hanging in the balance after he suffered an injury the day after performing alongside professional dance partner Luba Mushtuk for the first time live on the show.

He underwent various scans and assessments on his shoulder before it was agreed that he was fit to perform and with only 16 hours of training, Nick managed to deliver a respectable American Smooth Foxtrot to Blur's Park Life alongside Luba during week two of the 2024 series.

However, it has been reported that he's been forced to pull out of the next Strictly live show on Saturday (October 5), which is the show's Movie Week special, after falling and hurting his knee.

A Strictly Come Dancing spokesperson told The Sun: "Unfortunately, Nick Knowles sustained an injury during rehearsals and as a result, will not dance this weekend.

"As per the rules of the competition, Nick and Luba will receive a bye through to next week when he is hopefully able to dance again. Everyone at Strictly Come Dancing wishes Nick a speedy recovery."
