Chris McCausland exposed Dianne Buswell's bruises during their latest TV appearance as they reflected on their week of training ahead of Strictly Come Dancing's next live show.

The comedian and the professional dancer will perform in week four of the BBC One dance contest this Saturday night (October 12) after making it through to another week of the competition following last weekend's epic Movie Week.

Chris, who is Strictly's first blind contestant, and pro dancer Dianne scored their highest mark to date after they performed their Wayne’s World-inspired jive.

They have since been back in training for their next live performance in the famous ballroom, which will see them dance a Salsa to Men At Work's 'Down Under'.

In their latest video series 'CHRIS DIAnneRIES' on Wednesday evening (October 10), Chris said: "It's been alright," to which Dianne agreed: "It's been alright." Chris chipped in: "Better than yesterday," to which Dianne echoed: "Better than yesterday, however, you've had a little sniffle today, haven't you?"

Chris shared: "I've had a cold. I'm falling a part but I'm motoring on because I'm a soldier. But we're getting through the dance, with the song, all the way through, occasionally. Better than where it was yesterday. Yesterday on our video we looked horrific I imagine..." Dianne replied: "Speaking for myself here but still look pretty horrific..."

Now, Chris and Dianne have given a further insight into how things have been going in preparation for their next performance. Appearing on Strictly spin-off It Takes Two on Thursday (October 10) Chris, 47, revealed to Janette Manrara of their routine: "It's been intense.

"There has been more lifts in it than Canary Wharf! There is tricks and lifts and we are both covered in bruises." He joked: "She's had to use make-up to cover up all over her legs..." before adding: "It has been full-on."

It comes after Dianne told how she started a recent day of training. Following a challenging day, the 35-year-old revealed:. "Do you know why I think it's a good day?" she asked. "I think it's because I staged the room this morning." Asked what she meant by Chris, Dianne added: "I got rid of the negative energies," to which Chris replied: "Oh with your stinky stick?" Dianne added: "With my stinky stick."
