BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Chris McCausland sparks concern as fans plead 'please' after 'more' update
by Jessica Sansome · Manchester Evening NewsChris McCausland has sparked some concern among fans as it was confirmed when his Strictly Come Dancing journey will come to an end.
The comedian has won viewers' hearts and votes during his time in the BBC One dance contest with professional dance partner Dianne Buswell with the pair among the favourites to lift the Glitterball trophy this year.
But Chris was fearing for his future in the hit dance show over the weekend before it was confirmed he was through to week eight alongside Dianne during the latest results show on Sunday nigh (November 3).

The duo were initially back in the ballroom on Saturday night (November 2) after making it through to week seven following a tricky time during last weekend's Halloween special. But it was another themed night in the BBC One dance contest as for the first time ever, Icons Week took place.
For their performance, Chris and Dianne delivered a Tango to rock band KISS' hit Rock and Roll All Nite, in which they sported dark outfits and eye makeup reminiscent of the rock band before scoring 29 out of a possible 40 points from the judges.
Following the news he'd made it through to another week, Chris took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and said: "If I'm honest, I was quite down on myself in that interview clip straight after the dance that was on the results show tonight because I thought I had made a pretty big mistake. I realised later that I hadn't. I'm feeling good. Thank you for all of your support! X#Strictly."
Now, as Chris focuses on his next routine, which will see him and Dianne perform a Couple's Choice to Instant Karma! (We All Shine On) by John Lennon, he's also busy making plans for after the competition comes to an end and has seemingly confirmed that his Strictly journey will end when the show ends as he's already pre-booked during the annual Strictly Come Dancing Live arena tour.

Chris has announced that his upcoming stand up tour, Yonks!, is continuing to grow and now comprises more than 250 dates across the UK and Ireland, having been extended into 2026, before he even steps foot on stage in January 2025.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday (November 5), Chris shared the updated tour announcement and said: "I’ve added even more dates to my 2025/2026 tour show, Yonks! Tickets are available from my website and from the link in my bio. I hope you can join me when I hit the road."
And while fans were delighted by his career boost, others warned him to take care of himself too. @tannerian1 said: "WOAH!!! That's one helluva tour!!" @molz_gx commented: "You’re gonna be knackered." @feebeeboo wrote: "You’re going to be more exhausted after that tour than you were after the Samba!"
@tanjafranziskapowell replied: "Omg Chris. You gonna be knackered. A man who doesn't like to rest. Look after yourself." @imogenalanah_ posted: "Please don’t burn yourself out." @glenn368 added: "Now that is what you call a WORKING comedian."
