by · Manchester Evening News

A number of mysterious Charli XCX billboards have been popping up across the world - with one in Manchester teasing a big announcement.

The singer, who will kick off her upcoming UK tour at Manchester’s Co-op Live in November, is gearing up to release a remix album later this month which will feature collaborations with the likes of Billie Eilish, Lorde, and Troye Sivan.

But full details regarding which other famous faces could be involved in the project have yet to be unveiled. But posters appearing across the world are now teasing fans on who could just be jumping on a track with the Brat songstress.

Featuring Charli’s now-viral BRAT slime green visuals, a billboard has appeared on Fairfield Street, near Piccadilly Train Station in the city centre, featuring the name of indie-pop outfit The 1975 written backwards - the same style as the album cover for the singer’s upcoming ‘Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat’ remix project.

The band, which features Matty Healey, formed in Wilmslow in Cheshire and started their foundations in Manchester. Since their self-titled debut album in 2013, the band have released a further four albums, including 2022's Being Funny in a Foreign Language. In 2023, the band headlined Parklife.
