‘Alien: Romulus’ Gets Streaming Premiere Date On Hulu

Scott handed the director’s chores over to Fede Alvarez for Alien: Romulus, which debuted in theaters on August 16 before pivoting to digital streaming via premium video on demand on October 15.
Alien: Romulus is the seventh film in the Alien franchise, which began with Scott’s 1979 sci-fi classic Alien. Alvarez sets the events of Alien: Romulus between Alien and its 1986 sequel Aliens, directed by James Cameron.
The official logline for Alien: Romulus reads, “While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonists come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.”
According to When to Stream, Alien: Romulus will debut on Hulu on streaming video on demand on Thursday, November 21. You must be a subscriber to Hulu to watch Alien: Romulus on the streaming service.

Hulu offers a variety of plans that include bundles. If you want to subscribe to Hulu only, the package with ads is $9.99 or $99.99 per year.
Hulu’s package without ads is $18.99. The streaming service also offers a student package with ads for $1.99 per month for those who qualify.
How Was Alien: Romulus Received By Audiences And Critics?
According to The Numbers, Alien Romulus earned $105.3 million domestically during its theatrical run.
Combined with the film international take $245.5 million, per the box office tracker, Alien: Romulus had a worldwide box office tally of $350.8 million against an $80 million production budget before prints and advertising costs.
Rotten Tomatoes critics widely praised Alien: Romulus, giving the film an 80% “fresh” rating based on 381 reviews.
The RT Critics Consensus for the latest Alien chapter reads, “Honoring its nightmarish predecessors while chestbursting at the seams with new frights of its own, Romulus injects some fresh acid blood into one of cinema's great horror franchises.”
Alien Romulus also had an 85% “fresh” RT Audience Score based on 5,000-plus verified user ratings. RT’s Audience summary reads, “Resurrecting a franchise with equal servings of fan service and originality, Alien: Romulus keenly delivers Xenomorph blood and thrills.”
Alien: Romulus marks the second big-screen franchise rebooted by director Fede Alvarez. The filmmaker also directed the Evil Dead reboot film in 2013.
