Prince Louis' cheeky demand when he was given gift for Princess Charlotte

Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte have always shared a special bond and the mischievous young royal has been known to copy his big sister on more than one occasion.

The three children of Prince William and Kate Middleton share a close bond, with Prince Louis clearly admiring his older sister Charlotte.

This was evident during a secret visit to Elstree Studios in December 2023, where the siblings got a behind-the-scenes look at the popular BBC TV show Strictly Come Dancing.

Head judge Shirley Ballas later shared a charming story about the Royal visit. "They are beautiful. When they visited we had these crowns on set, so I thought it would be a nice idea to give the little girl a crown and I got him a nice box of sweets," she told The Sun.

However, Louis had other ideas. "Then he went, 'I want one of those' and pointed at the crown.

"So, we had to go and find him a little crown. They're beautifully polite children. They had an absolute ball."

She added: "We have photos, but I didn't want to post them. I think it's more private for her. I was just glad she was able to come in and have a great day. They all watch Strictly."

This isn't the first time Louis has emulated his sister, reports the Mirror.

Prince William previously revealed that Louis often takes Princess Charlotte's jewellery and follows her around in the mornings.

"One of the songs that the children are loving at the moment is Shakira, Waka Waka. There's a lot of hip movements going along. There's a lot of dressing up," he said.

"Charlotte, particularly, is running around the kitchen in her dresses and ballet stuff and everything. She goes completely crazy with Louis following her around trying to do the same thing."

Charlotte and Louis have always shared a special bond. A photo released by William and Kate for Charlotte's third birthday shows her cradling a baby Louis in her lap and planting a tender kiss on her sleeping brother's head.

The young princess also doted on her baby brother in portraits from Louis' christening in 2018. While everyone else smiles for the camera, the proud big sister is solely focused on Louis as she lovingly gazes at him and holds his hand.

As they've grown older, Princess Charlotte has assumed an increasingly protective role. She is often seen looking out for little Louis - and correcting his behaviour - on official Royal outings, most recently at the 2024 Trooping the Colour.

Body language expert Judi James told the Mirror: "As Kate and her three children watched from the open window, it was Kate standing at the back of the group while Charlotte beamed down with an expression of pride, even appearing to mutter to Louis to ensure he stood to attention as she did while the National Anthem was being played."

During the ceremony, Louis was seen amusing himself with the blind cords by the window rather than paying attention. He also caught attention by yawning and dancing, swaying his hips from side to side, prompting laughter from his mum Kate.

The BBC commentator couldn't help but laugh during the live broadcast, remarking: "He's enjoying boogieing along to that."
