What makes a powerful brand?
If the crowd at Beauty Inc’s annual celebration of beauty’s 45 most powerful brands — from the established to the emerging — was any indication: purpose-driven leaders, an aptitude for innovation and a level of cross-brand camaraderie which few other industries can claim are all fail-safe starting points.
Among those in attendance at the event, which took place at Jean’s on Lafayette Street in New York, were MAC Cosmetics’ Drew Elliott and Aïda Moudachirou-Rebois; Sol de Janeiro’s Heela Yang; Michelle Freyre, global president of Clinique and Origins; Byoma’s Marc Elrick and today’s buzziest founders, including Danessa Myricks, Patrick Ta, Charlotte Palermino and Mario Dedivanovic.
Chanel, which according to Circana continues to dominates fragrance sales, Rare Beauty, CeraVe, Mielle Organics, Amika and the ever-explosive E.l.f. Cosmetics were also among those included in Beauty Inc’s 2024 “Power Brands” ranking, who joined the celebration.
