Capcom Says It Will Continue To Grow The Ace Attorney Series

And insists it "won't stop producing content"

Ace Attorney fans worried about the series dropping off can seemingly relax, with Capcom recently easing any concerns in a recent interview.

Speaking to Netlab, Capcom's Kenichi Hashimoto has mentioned how the Japanese developer and publisher "won't stop" producing Ace Attorney content. There are apparently plenty of "directions" the team is looking at taking this long-running series. This even potentially includes more "mixed media".

At the moment, there is not much else the developer can say, and it will be ready to reveal more when the time is right. Here's a translation (via Nintendo Everything):

Kenichi Hashimoto: "The Ace Attorney series won’t stop producing content. We definitely have a lot of directions we want to further grow in, including mixed media. There’s things we’d want to talk about when the time comes that we can reveal something, but for now I can’t say much."

This follows on from the news about Capcom planning to showcase a "special Ace Attorney series introduction video for fans and newcomers".

Fans have speculated it could potentially be teasing more, but Capcom has now responded asking everyone to manage their expectations and noting how the trailer will not be introducing any "new" projects. You see this full update in our previous post:

Apparently this also came with an announcement that they also have no announcement to make...

THEN WHY DID YOU MAKE THE ANNOUNCEMENT?!?!?!

Looking forward to seeing what they will come up with next in general and of course even more so when it comes to the games themselves, especially now that there aren't any old games left to rerelease on modern platforms except for the Layton crossover (hope that will eventually come as well although I doubt anytime soon considering it involves also Level-5 - even more so as they're also the publisher of the original in Japan while Nintendo everywhere else)!

@Samalik I would like to announce we have no announcement to announce at this time, but stay tuned for an announcement.

Feels like a billion years since the last game. Hopefully we're getting pretty close to a new entry now that the entire series is available on modern systems.

So, basically they're giving this series the same treatment as Mega Man... 🤔

No OBJECTIONS here!

I’ll place a small stack of my chips forward and bet that they’re gonna announce an HD remaster of Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. I doubt it—I strongly doubt it. But we’ll see if my betting-man habit fails me yet again!
