Escape to the Country star Jules Hudson supported by fans after sharing emotional update

Countryfile's Jules Hudson, also famed for his role as a host on BBC's Escape to the Country, took to Instagram on Remembrance Day and shared an emotional look back at his military past. Not widely known is that the English archaeologist served with the NATO Battlegroup not long ago.

On his social platform, he recounted to his followers: "It's hard to believe that it's now six years ago that I served briefly with the NATO Battlegroup in Estonia over the winter of 2018/19."

He also added: "It's still there, working hard in sub zero temperatures to defend NATOs Eastern frontier."

Hudson continued: "Spare a thought for our troops this Remembrance day who are doing all they can to support our Baltic Allies against the backdrop of the grinding tragedy of War in Ukraine."

Fans were surprised to learn of his military role, with messages of pride pouring into the comments section. One fan remarked: "Oh wow. I never knew. I'm always a massive advocate of Remembrance Day to remember those who have served so bravely. Proud of you for doing your bit.", reports the Express.

Another fan expressed: "Jules! ! Who knew. You are full of surprises.. excellent message. My dad flew spitfires as a Canadian and one of his training fields was Charmy Downs near Bath. Remembrance Day is always important to me and I hope everyone..." A third chimed in with: "Wow didn't know that Jules...bless you."
