Rylan Clark has lashed out following a backlash over his road rage comments regarding people at zebra crossings. The BBC Radio 2 presenter swiftly removed his initial tweet due to the negative reaction it garnered about pedestrians using zebra crossings.

On his social media, formerly known as Twitter, he vented: "I know it's the law and that pedestrians have right of way at zebra crossings... BUT SAY THANK YOU OR POP UR HAND UP. Rude pr**ks... (Stuck in traffic and annoyed)" However, the post was quickly taken down, though he did follow up with: "Some of your replies are just so 2024. Have a lovely day you rude b*****ds."

Fans were quick to respond to his new message, with many echoing his earlier thoughts. One supporter commented: "Agree! ! And when you let someone out or filter in traffic and they don't say thank you."

Another chimed in: "It doesn't take a second to say thank you, some people are just so entitled and rude," while one dissenter said: "Just can't get with you on this one."

Rylan also shared a GIF of Jerry Seinfeld with the caption: "Where's yo manners" shortly after. A fan humorously enquired if he was 'still stuck in traffic'. This incident follows Rylan Clark's disclosure of why he decided to step down from presenting the Strictly Come Dancing spin-off, It Takes Two, reports the Mirror.

The television and radio host announced his departure from the BBC programme in April last year, after a four-year stint. He expressed his sentiments in a heartfelt social media post, stating: "Been a pleasure @bbcstrictly."

The statement went on to say: "After four fantastic years it's time for me to hang up my glittery jacket and say goodbye to It Takes Two. I've had the best time hosting alongside Janette and Zoe and I can't thank the amazing team enough for always putting on a great show. I've been welcomed into the Strictly family and will firmly hold that title dear to me. The time has come for me to pass on the baton to someone else and explore what else life has for me. Thank you Strictly, you will always have my heart...and my dancing feet."

In a recent chat with The Sun, he explained his reasons for leaving. "I've been doing the same type of job for 10 years. For me, I just got to the point, 'What do I want? What would I like to be? Who do I want to be? What show do I want to do in the future? ," he shared.

"And it's really hard to try to work that out while you're doing different things. So I had to take that step back, have a minute to myself, let it breathe, and not turn on the TV and see yourself while you're watching what everyone else is doing."
