The buzz surrounding the next instalment of I'm A Celebrity is reaching fever pitch, with the rumour mill churning out more potential contestant names day by day. Now, one name heavily whispered to be joining the reality series has apparently been let slip by a past participant in an accidental reveal.

Former Strictly Come Dancing star and current Dancing on Ice judge Oti Mabuse's participation in the upcoming season has been much speculated recently. Ex-I'm A Celebrity candidate Jordan North has suggested he's "pretty sure" Oti will be on the ITV show this year.

While speaking on his Capital Breakfast show Monday morning, he discussed those tipped to enter the jungle as well as sharing his own forecasts: "I don't have any official intel, but I've just looked at the list, and I reckon there's a good few names on there that I can guarantee are going in."

"I was working with her on Big Brother last year and I'm pretty sure."

It was here that co-host Sian Welby chimed in to prompt: "Oti was originally one of the professional dancers on Strictly, wasn't she? ", reports the Mirror.

"So she's not busy this year - so potentially she could do it."

It's worth noting that Jordan himself is no stranger to the pressures of the contest; he competed in 2020, reaching the final and securing a commendable second place behind Giovanna Fletcher.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions preventing travel to Australia, for the first time ever, the programme took place in Gwrych Castle, Abergele, Wales, instead of its usual Australian bush setting.

In addition to Giovanna, Jordan was accompanied by a host of celebrities including Vernon Kay, Shane Richie and Russell Watson. Oti first made her mark in the UK when she joined Strictly Come Dancing as a professional dancer in 2015.

She participated in the show from series 13 to 19, clinching the title twice with Kelvin Fletcher and Bill Bailey. In 2022, after seven years, Oti chose to depart from the show, although her sister Motsi Mabuse continues to serve as a judge on the BBC One series.

She transitioned from BBC to ITV and is currently a judge on Dancing on Ice, alongside fellow judges Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
