Strictly Come Dancing's Katya Jones and her celebrity dance partner Wynne Evans have reached out to their fans following a widely shared video from last night's episode that captured an awkward moment between the two. The clip showed Wynne seemingly trying to place his hand on Katya's waist, which she appeared to brush away, looking uncomfortable, before he attempted it once more, reports the Mirror.

In a response video, Katya said: "Hello everybody it's Wynne and Katya here. We just wanted to say we were just messing around in the Clauditorium on Saturday night and just want to say sorry. It was a silly joke."

Wynne chimed in with a simple: "Yes sorry."

Wynne also posted a caption saying: "Apologies for this tonight we were just messing around. We really are amazing friends. The high 5's is a running joke. Have a great evening @katyajones."

Representatives for Wynne and Katya have been approached by The Mirror for a statement.
