Strictly Come Dancing fans outraged by 'unfair' dance-off results leaked online

by · NottinghamshireLive

The Strictly Come Dancing spoiler has struck once more, leaving fans of the beloved BBC show stunned by the most recent outcome. Devotees of the long-standing dance competition are well aware that the BBC broadcasts the Saturday night episode live as it unfolds, and then immediately records the results show for Sunday evening.

Despite the cast and crew being under strict orders to keep the elimination results under wraps, there are insiders who delight in leaking the details hours before they're officially announced on televisionreports the Mirror.

On Saturday night, viewers saw the contestants take to the floor with dances such as the Rumba, Waltz, Samba, Cha-cha-cha, among others. The judges then scored the pairs, with those receiving the lowest marks relying on public votes to stay in the running.

The couple with the very lowest score would face the dreaded dance-off.

In what has become almost a ritual, a Strictly Spoiler social media and website account holder has spoiled the suspense by disclosing the results prematurely. We have chosen not to disclose which contestant is reportedly being asked to hang up their dancing shoes.

However, fans who have stumbled upon the result are left utterly astonished by the verdict. One fan expressed their frustration on Twitter, saying: "actually so annoyed at this? ? ? neither of the couples in the dance off deserved to be there when they've improved week after week and then there's others that have had several bad weeks and keep sailing through."

"WHAT? ! I'M FLOORED! ! This has fully pissed me off actually," one viewer exclaimed after discovering the unexpected result online, while another was equally incensed: "I'm sorry what! ! My first question is why was either couple in the dance off? ? ! ! And 2nd why are the worse ones still in? " A third person was bewildered by the outcome, stating: "what the hell did i just saw ? ? ? the two couples in the dance off was not supposed to be in the dance off to begin with."

The 2024 season of Strictly Come Dancing is approaching its midpoint, with about six weeks left until the grand finale. Contestants still vying for the Glitterball Trophy include EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick and his partner Michelle Tsiakkas, former Olympian and Gladiator Montell Douglas with Johannes Radebe, Opera singer Wynne Evans paired with Katya Jones, and model Tasha Ghouri alongside Aljaž Škorjanec.

JLS's JB Gill, dancing with Lauren Oakley—who replaced Amy Dowden due to her health issues—performed their couple's choice on Saturday night, earning praise from the judges. Meanwhile, actress Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola hit the dance floor with their Cha-cha-cha.

Visually impaired comedian Chris McCausland took to the dance floor with his partner Dianne Buswell for a Tango, while Olympic athlete Sam Quek showcased her American Smooth with Nikita Kuzmin. Other remaining couples included X Factor's Shayne Ward and his partner Nancy Xu, who performed a Quickstep, and Towie's Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystał, who danced a Salsa.
