That was all it took for the internet to run with the rumor, even though there was no real proof to any of this and it was all just talk. But as we know, truth and facts don’t always matter on social media.

Unfortunately for VelJohnson, this has all emerged just as he’s making a small comeback by competing on the current season of “Dancing With the Stars.” So instead of talking about what he’s doing on the show, this nonsense is following him around. Now, the actor is putting a stop to all of this speculation with a definitive statement about the controversy.

 TMZ recently caught up with him outside of his dance rehearsal space for one of its awkward street interviews and the “Die Hard” actor let everyone know, “That’s all bullshit. I don’t know that man. I’ve never met him before.”

While he added that he does “wish him well,” VelJohnson suggested that everyone spreading these crazy rumors “Get a life.”

Well, there it is. TV’s Carl Winslow has given his official statement on this nonsense, so can we move on now?

This is a reminder that this Diddy controversy is going to get much worse before it’s all said and done. We know the internet is going to do what the internet does, but it’s really important that in a case like this, people aren’t just throwing names out there without any evidence or proof to back up their claims. When it comes to this discussion, we all need to be mindful of our words.
