Actor Jr NTR and director Koratala Siva's latest film, Devara: Part 1, recorded another milestone as it crossed Rs 250-crore mark (nett) at the domestic box office. The action drama has been continuing its dream run at the box office for the past two weeks. Globally, the film is expected to cross Rs 500 crore worldwide. Director Koratala Siva will soon resume work on the second part in the coming months.

Devara: Part 1 released in theatres on September 27. The film has been shattering record after record ever since it released in cinemas.

According to the tracking website, Sacnilk, the film is estimated to have earned Rs 4.50 crore nett in India on October 8. The majority of the contribution comes from the Telugu version. In 12 days, the action drama minted Rs 253.25 crore nett at the domestic box office.

The Telugu version of Devara: Part 1 recorded an occupancy of 21.76 per cent on October 8. The Hindi version had an occupancy of 9.26 per cent in India.

Written and directed by Koratala Siva, Devara: Part 1 is an action drama, which features Jr NTR in two roles - as father Devara and son Varadha. The film also marks Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan's debut in Telugu. Prakash Raj, Shruti Marathe, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, Kalaiyarasan and Murali Sharma are part of the supporting cast.

Jointly produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, the film's music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Editor Sreekar Prasad and cinematographer Rathnavelu are part of the technical team. The film hit theatres on September 27 in multiple languages.
