The Greatest of All Time has entered into its third weekend at the box office. The Thalapathy Vijay-starrer is looking at reaching the benchmark of Rs 250 crore nett in India. The film collected Rs 234.30 crore nett after its 16 days of run domestically, reported the trade website Sacnilk. The collections dropped this week, but the weekend is expected to have some revival here.

GOAT, directed by Venkat Prabhu, features Vijay in a double role. It is also the second last film of the Tamil superstar's career, after which he will leave the movies to dedicatedly work towards strengthening his political career. The film earned Rs 2.35 crore nett on its third Friday.

  • Week 1: Rs 178 crore
  • Week 2: Rs 53.95 crore
  • Friday: Rs 2.35 crore
  • Total: Rs 234.30 crore

At the worldwide box office, the film crossed the benchmark of Rs 400 crore gross earlier this week. It is now running at Rs 425 crore after 16 days. Vijay's last film before GOAT, Leo, finished its India collection at Rs 341.04 crore nett. Considering the drop in collections, it seems difficult for GOAT to surpass the overall business of Leo at the box office.

The film will also see tough competition from Devara: Part I. The Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer is hitting the screens on September 27 amid great buzz in the southern market. It's a period action drama, featuring the Telugu superstar in a dual role. If Devara receives decent word-of-mouth, it will pose a challenge to the smooth run of GOAT at the box office.
