Devara box office Day 6: Jr NTR's film explodes worldwide on Gandhi Jayanti

Devara: Part One gained massively from the Gandhi Jayanti national holiday worldwide. The Jr NTR-starrer recorded a double-digit collection, and crossed the benchmark of Rs 300 crore gross globally with new records in India.

Devara: Part One benefitted big from the Gandhi Jayanti holiday on its first Wednesday at the worldwide box office. The Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer crossed the benchmark of Rs 300 crore gross globally, and Rs 200 crore nett in India. Directed by Koratala Siva, it collected in the range of Rs 20 crore nett domestically, taking the total of six days to Rs 207.85 crore, reported the trade website Sacnilk.

This is the second film on Jr NTR's resume to have crossed the benchmark of Rs 300 crore gross worldwide after RRR. However, it is the first solo release of his career to have touched the mark.

  • Saturday: Rs 38.2 crore

Devara scored big in the Telugu state on Wednesday due to the national holiday, and collected in the range of Rs 12-13 crore gross. Even the Hindi business rose, earning in the range of Rs 7.50-8.50 crore gross. The total Hindi collection of the film after its six-day run is at around Rs 41 crore nett. It is expected to cross the benchmark of Rs 50 crore nett before its second weekend at the domestic box office.

With one more day to go, the first week collection of Devara is likely to end in the range of Rs 255 crore gross and between Rs 217-220 crore nett, which is a good sign for the film. The action drama has got a long window to perform at the box office with no major release this weekend.
