New documentary on singer Chris Brown to explore his alleged history of abuse

A new documentary on acclaimed singer-songwriter Chris Brown has been announced, which will explore the artiste's alleged history of abuse. Brown has previously been accused of assaulting former partner and pop star Rihanna.

A new documentary on singer-songwriter Chris Brown has been announced, Chris Brown: A History of Violence, which is said to explore Brown's alleged history of abuse.

Chris Brown has had many chart-topping singles over the years, but apart from the success, what has followed him are his legal issues. Brown's legal issues date back to 2009 when he was first accused and arrested for allegedly assaulting his former partner and singer Rihanna. Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault.

“Chris Brown’s an amazing and talented musician, but let’s call a thing a thing. He’s an abuser of women. Consistently, unapologetically,” one woman could be heard saying in the released trailer.

Towards the end, an anonymous survivor is also seen coming forward to tell her side of the story after allegedly suffering abuse by Brown.

The documentary will arrive on ID on October 27.
