KJo reflects on 'privilege' after missing Coldplay tickets: Can't get everything

Filmmaker Karan Johar and Pavail Gulati shared a post as they missed getting Coldplay concert tickets. The iconic British band will perform in Mumbai on January 18, 19 and 21, 2025.

As fans voiced their frustration over the long waiting time to secure Coldplay tickets, filmmaker-producer Karan Johar and actor Pavail Gulati also shared their ordeal. Coldplay added a third Mumbai show to their 2025 Music Of The Spheres World Tour on Sunday, September 22 following "phenomenal demand."

Karan shared a note on his Instagram story that read, “Dear privilege, I love that Coldplay and the mini Kelly always keep you grounded, you can't get everything you want my darling. Lots of love. Frugal."

Tickets for the newly added show, scheduled for January 21 at Mumbai's DY Patil Sports Stadium, went live on BookMyShow at 2 pm. Karan Johar's post followed just a few hours later.

Pavail Gulati also shared a picture of BookMyShow, where he had to wait for a longer time to get tickets. “Coldplay playing cold with me (sic),” he wrote.

BookMyShow had crashed just moments before the first ticket sale began today, September 22, at 12 pm. It resumed in around 15 minutes.

After a nine-year hiatus, Coldplay is returning to India. The iconic British band will perform in Mumbai on January 18, 19 and 21, 2025. Ticket prices ranged from Rs 2,500 to Rs 35,000, with options for Rs 3,000, Rs 3,500, Rs 4,000, Rs 4,500, Rs 9,000, Rs 9,500 and Rs 12,500. Each transaction was limited to a maximum of four tickets.
