Late actor Sridevi's husband, Boney Kapoor, and daughter, Khushi Kapoor, inaugurated a chowk in Lokhandwala, Mumbai, as a tribute to her. The event took place on Saturday, October 12, at 6 pm in the presence of political leaders and colleagues of the late actor. Sridevi's family was joined by veteran actor Shabana Azmi at the launch.

The chowk is located at the junction near her longtime residence, Green Acres Tower, where she had lived for many years, before passing away in 2018. The place holds a sentimental value for the late actor's family. The photos from the event showed Boney and Khushi getting emotional and folding their hands in front of Sridevi's portrait.
