Hollywood star Richard Gere is leaving the US. The actor is planning to move to Spain, according to reports. Gere has reportedly sold his Connecticut property for 11 million dollars, which he had originally bought for 10.8 million dollars.
Gere resided in the home with his wife, Alejandra Silva, and had hoped to convert it into a farm at one point, according to reports.
According to People Magazine, the 1938 home has six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a pool as well as gardens.
The couple, who got married in 2018, have lived together in the US for the past six years. However, Gere had shared earlier that he wanted to move to Spain in order for his wife to be closer to her relatives.
"For Alejandra, it will be wonderful to be closer to her family, her lifelong friends and her culture. She was very generous in giving me six years of living in my world, so it is only fair that I give her at least another six living in hers," the actor had said at the time to Vanity Fair. During the interview, Gere also revealed that he has property in New York, which he plans to maintain.
