Tamil actors Karthi and Arvind Swami's recently released film, Meiyzhagan, has been trimmed following the audiences' feedback. The film received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike. Reportedly, nearly 15 to 18 minutes of the film have been removed from the film. The latest trimmed version of Meiyazhagan started playing in theatres from today, September 30.

The film's runtime stood at two hours and 57 minutes, which was criticised by many people. The revised runtime is around two hours and 40 minutes, according to reports.

Meiyazhagan is an emotional drama featuring Karthi and Arvind Swami in lead roles. The film is written and directed by C Prem Kumar of 96 fame. The drama is about a man's journey of self-discovery when he meets a distant relative at his family village where he goes to attend his cousin sister's wedding.
