Hollywood star Idris Elba will reportedly be starring in the television adaptation of the classic Nigerian novel, Things Fall Apart. The show will be co-produced by A24 and Elba's production company, 22Summers.

Hollywood star Idris Elba will soon be seen playing the lead role in a TV series adaptation of Nigerian author Chinua Achebe's classic novel, Things Fall Apart, reported Variety.
Apart from playing the lead, Elba will also be executive-producing the show.
The show will be based on the acclaimed 1958 novel and will be co-produced by lead star Elba as well as production company A24.
Things Fall Apart is a part of the English literature course in many universities across the globe, including India's Delhi University, and it has regularly featured in the top 100 novels list of all time.
Things Fall Apart revolves around Okonkwo, to be essayed by Elba, a warrior who takes it upon himself to preserve his tribe and culture after British colonisers threaten to take things over.
A writer and showrunner for the same is yet to be announced.
