Vettaiyan: Amitabh Bachchan introduced as Sathyadev in Rajinikanth's film

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan will be essaying the role of Sathyadev in Rajinikanth's highly-anticipated Vettaiyan. The film also stars Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil and Manju Warrier, among others.

As fans await the mega collaboration of superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth in Vettaiyan, the makers recently released more details as well as a character poster of Big B from the film on X.

Senior Bachchan will be seen playing the role of Sathyadev in Vettaiyan. Lyca Productions also posted a behind-the-scenes video from the set, where Bachchan could be seen warmly embracing Rajinikanth.

The two had previously worked together on the film Hum, which released in 1991.

Fans were quick to react to it as one person commented, "The screen presence this man has." Another user mentioned, "Respect to the titans of the Indian cinema." While many others posted heart and fire emojis.

Amitabh Bachchan had earlier shared a post about Vettaiyan on social media, “Am honoured and privileged to be with the Thala the Great Rajni again, he hasn’t changed at all. The same simple humble, down-to-earth friend despite his stratospheric greatness!!! (sic).”

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth's character's name is yet to be revealed.

Apart from Rajinikanth and Amitab Bachchan, Vettaiyan also stars Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil and Rana Daggubati.

Vettaiyan releases in cinemas on October 10.
