Tamil actor Suriya announces his next with RJ Balaji, AR Rahman to compose music

Tamil actor Suriya has officially announced his next major project, tentatively titled Suriya 45, with a formal puja ceremony. The film, produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, is set to be the most expensive production in the company’s history, adding to their lineup of critically acclaimed films such as Joker, Aruvi, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Kaithi, and Sulthan.

The film will be directed by RJ Balaji, known for his work on Mookuthi Amman and Veetla Vishesham. Currently in the pre-production phase, Balaji has been developing the script for over a year and is finalising locations for the film, which is described as an action-adventure.

Music for Suriya 45 will be composed by Academy Award-winner AR Rahman, who has previously collaborated with actor Suriya on films like Sillunu Oru Kaadhal and Aayudha Ezhuthu. The actor-composer duo aims to recreate the musical success of their past ventures.

The film is scheduled to begin production in November 2024, with a release planned for the second half of 2025. The team is reportedly working on securing a high-profile cast and crew for the project.
