Amaran box office Day 2: Sivakarthikeyan film continues its glorious march

Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi's film Amaran, a biopic of Major Mukund Varadarajan, is performing excellently at the box office despite competition from major Bollywood releases.

Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi's latest release, Amaran, has been going strong at the box office. The film, which is a biopic of Major Mukund Varadarajan, marked Sivakarthikeyan's highest opening day number. On Day 2, the Tamil film continued to perform well at the box office, despite two big-budget Bollywood releases.

According to tracking website Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 19.25 crore at the domestic box office on Day 2. On its opening day, the film minted Rs 21.40 crore. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 40.65 crore. Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, is one of the biggest Tamil releases of the year.

What's even more remarkable is the fact that the film is holding its ground and standing unfazed despite the release of two big-budget Bollywood films - Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. In fact, the film saw a massive 81.70 percent occupancy in Tamil Nadu on November 1 (Day 2), which means that people want to watch the film. One can expect the numbers to grow over the weekend.
