Bollywood actor Salman Khan's father Salim Khan on Thursday received a fresh threat when he was out for a morning walk.

According to sources, when Salim Khan was out for a morning walk with Salman Khan near his Bandra home, a man and a burqa-clad woman, on a scooter, approached him and issued a threat citing jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's name.

"Should I call Lawrence Bishnoi?" the burqa-clad woman said to Salim Khan when he was sitting on a bench.

After the threat, the Mumbai Police were alerted, and a probe was launched for the man and the burqa-clad woman.

Earlier in June this year, police foiled a plan to kill Salman Khan near his farmhouse in Panvel by jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang.

A burqa-clad woman and a man issued a threat to Salim Khan when he was out for a morning walk.

Acting on intelligence input, the Maharashtra Police stopped a car and recovered and arrested four shooters of the Bishnoi gang in connection with the case.

The shooters were identified as Dhananjay Tapsingh alias Ajay Kashyap; Gaurav Bhatia alias Nahvi; Waspi Khan alias Wasim Chikna; and Rizwan Khan alias Javed Khan.

In April also, two bike-borne men fired multiple rounds outside Salman Khan's home in Mumbai's Bandra. Nobody died or was injured in the incident.

After the incident, fugitive gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's brother, Anmol Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the incident in a social media post.

Speaking about the case, Navi Mumbai Circle DCP Vivek Pansare had said that the four men had conducted a recce of the actor's farmhouse, as well as his home in Bandra, where shots were fired by two motorcycle-borne assailants in April.

"Some 20-25 people were involved in the planning of the foiled attempt. These four men were staying at different places in Panvel, even before the shooting in April. Ajay Kashyap was coordinating with everyone. He also had information on the weapons (to be used in the alleged plot). They even discussed escape plan," he said after arresting the accused.
