Kartik turned down paan masala ad, Vidya Balan jokes he endorsed condoms instead

Kartik Aaryan has maintained a stance that he will never endorse paan masala. In a recent interview, he shared how he has turned down such endorsements despite several temptations. His Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 co-star, Vidya Balan joked that he opted to endorse a condom brand instead, making him go 'safety first'.

During an iterview with Siddharth Kannan, the actor spoke about his stance to never endorse paan masala brand, which are harmful for our health. “I have refused paan masala ads. They tempted me with a lot of things, but I was never tempted to do that at all,” Aaryan shared

Along with him in the interview was his Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 co-star Vidya Balan, who claimed that the “competition” was between an ad for paan masala and a condom, making Kartik burst out laughing. Vidya explained that her point was Kartik chose to endorse a health product instead of paan masala, which was a “great thing.” Kartik, still laughing, joked, “Someone, please stop her!” He then added, “Yes, exactly! I chose safety first.”

Several celebrities, including John Abraham, have made it a point to not endorse paan masala brands. Earlier, Akshay Kumar, who appeared in a paan masala endorsement, apologised to his fans for it and also promised that he would be more careful while choosing endorsements. He also promised to donate the earnings from the endorsement.

Meanwhile, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is set to release on November 1, clashing with Singham Again at the box office. The film, directed by Anees Bazmi, also features Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri.
