After South star Prabhas' photo from the upcoming release, Kannappa, was leaked online, the film's team has stepped forward to offer a reward of Rs 5 lakh to anyone who helps them catch the culprit responsible for the deed.
Prabhas will be seen in a cameo in Kannappa.
The makers released a statement, a portion of which read, "For the past eight years, we have poured our hearts and souls into Kannappa. After two years of intense production, our team is dedicated to bringing you a film of unmatched quality and passion. It is with deep sadness that we recently discovered a work in progress image from the film has been stolen and leaked without authorization.”
“We are committed to uncovering how this leak happened, and evaluating options to file a police complaint to hold those responsible for this leak. We urge you not to share this leaked image/footage as doing so will make individuals liable for a legal action. Anyone with this information that can help us trace the origin of this leak will be rewarded Rs 5 lakh," read the complete statement.
Kannappa is being pitched as a fantasy film. The film will see cameos by the likes of Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal and Prabhas among others.
Prabhas was last seen in the hit epic Kalki 2898 AD. He has the horror-comedy, The Raja Saab, in the pipeline.
