Popular actor Sharad Kelkar who was born in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh belonged to a small town. He faced a lot of struggles before making it big. The actor did his MBA in marketing and also had a passion for acting. He decided to fulfill his dream and started his career in television shows. He made his debut with Doordarshan's serial Aakrosh and was part of shows like Bhabhi, Raat Hone Ko Hai, CID, Uttaran and more. Within no time, he made it to films as he did a cameo in Hulchul.

He started doing dubbing along with acting. Eventually, he started getting bigger and more meaty roles in films. Sharad won millions of hearts with his exceptional performances in Tanhaji, Lakshmi, and The Family Man web series. He is happily married to his co-star Keerti Gaekwad Kelkar on 3 June 2005. They are parents to a daughter. The two even appeared on the dance reality show Nach Baliye 2. Kelkar was also offered a role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and played the character of a possessive elder brother. He was last seen in Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga. He also played the role of Golf Coach in the sports Drama Slum Golf. Kelkar made his Tamil debut in Ayalaan. He was seen in Srikanth Bolla's Hindi biopic, Srikanth.
