She always praised Ratan Tata and called him a perfectionist. She even said that he never considered money a significant part of his life. In an interview, Simi could not stop praising him and said, 'Ratan and I go back a long way. He’s perfect, he’s got a sense of humour, is modest and is the perfect gentleman. Money was never his driving force. He’s not as relaxed in India as he is abroad'.

In an interview with a media portal, the diva said that she got married at the age of 27 and knew Ravi for three months. She had even said that she knew their relationship will not work as they were people with two different sets of ideological frameworks. Simi said that he despised the idea of women leaving their homes and work just because they got married. She even revealed that the love that they shared declined in the relationship, but Ravi and Simi maintained a healthy bond.

As per a media report, Simi was in a relationship with legendary cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi before he got married to Sharmila Tagore. But, then he met actress Sharmila and fell for her and the two got married.
