The film has been doing well and the first day box office collections of the movie have also been good. The film is getting all good reviews from fans and even critics. Directed by Vasan Bala, the movie also stars Vedang Raina and Manoj Pahwa in pivotal roles. Alia has been showered with praises for her performance as Satya in Jigra. She has done an amazing job and people have also said that this is one of her best performances.

She took to Instagram to share that theaters screening Jigra are running empty. She also said that Alia herself bought the tickets of the film. Divya wrote, "Went to Citi Mall PVR for Jigra show. Theatre was totally empty … all theaters going empty every where. #Aliabhatt me sach mein Bahut #Jigra hai.. khud hi tickets karide aur fake collections announce kar diye. Earlier, Divya spoke about the similarities between her film, Savi and Alia's Jigra. She agreed that it looks similar but said that each film has its own path and is thankful she explored the genre first. Savi also starred Harshvardhan Rane and Anil Kapoor. The story of Savi was about a housewife trying to break her husband out of a high-security prison in England.
