Bobrisky claims she charges $100k per IG post in another purported audio shared by VeryDarkMan

Bobrisky, the social media celebrity, has claimed she charges $100,000 (an estimated N160 million) per Instagram post in a purported audio released by VeryDarkMan.

VeryDarkMan, the controversial activist born Martin Otse, took to Instagram on Monday to share another audio recording of Bobrisky while in prison.

In the purported audio chat with an unidentified man, the crossdresser discussed her experience with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In the recording, which VeryDarkMan claimed was made on May 16, 2024, Bobrisky claimed she paid the EFCC to drop money laundering charges. She insisted that her source of income was legitimate, arguing that she charges up to $100,000 per post as a social media influencer.

“They (EFCC) did a proper investigation and they noticed that I am not into money laundering. I am not into fraud. They came into my house. They carried my car. They thought coming to me they would see people I do business with,” she was quoted to have said in the audio.

“Checked my WhatsApp, and my email, and they were not able to find any of such. My money is legit. I keep saying these things. They think I am into fraud or picking money for politicians or whatever. They ran a proper checkup and they could not find any. That day someone called me and wants to pay £10,000 for influencing,” she said.

“People do not know I charge a lot of money for influencing. But I made him understand that I charge as far as $100,000 to influence.”

In the audio, Bobrisky claimed her godfather spoke to the deputy comptroller of prisons in Nigeria to secure an apartment for her outside the facility.

“My godfather was able to talk to the deputy comptroller in Nigeria. They said in as much as Bob is low key, he is not saying anything or causing anything, they should put me close to the place and I can always come inside and see people, welcoming my family,” she added.

The self-acclaimed crossdresser and VeryDarkMan have been in the news since last month after the activist shared a purported audio recording online wherein Bobrisky claimed she bribed the EFCC officials with N15,000,000 to drop the charges against her.

Bobrisky was released from prison on August 5 after she was sentenced to six months on April 12 for abusing the naira.

In the first recording, the crossdresser claimed her “godfather” alongside Haliru Nababa, the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) controller general, ensured she served the six-month sentence in a private apartment, and not the prison.

Reacting, Bobrisky described the viral recording as “fake”. She argued that she did not pay any amount to the anti-graft agency and that she served her jail term.

Bobrisky disclosed she was contemplating suicide and also threatened a N1 billion lawsuit against the activist for alleged defamation.
