Butterbean has suggested that Mike Tyson isn't in any shape to fight Jake Paul next month.

Real name Eric Esch, the 58-year-old former professional boxer has been a massive critic of Iron Mike's upcoming bout with the Problem Child, which is scheduled for November 15 at the AT&T Arena in Arlington, Texas, previously dubbing it as a "scam" and that the two are "never gonna fight".

At the weekend, the 77-10-4 knockout artist sparked fresh concerns that Tyson may not be fit to fight next month, telling AL.com : "I saw Mike about three weeks ago, and he looked pregnant." He then boldly added: "I would knock him out. He has no chin. The problem with those who have lost to Tyson is they didn’t challenge him."

Paul and Tyson were initially set to fight on July 20, but health concerns forced the former heavyweight world champion to pull out of the bout. Instead, YouTuber-turned-pugilist Paul took a last-minute fight with UFC star turned bare-knuckle boxer, Mike Perry.

Paul bolstered his record to 10-1 courtesy of a sixth-round stoppage of 'Platinum' Perry, and has since reverted his focus on Tyson – who was once one of the most dangerous men on the planet. Between 1985 and 2005, Tyson accrued a stellar professional record of 50-6-2(NC) with 44 knockouts, beating the best of the best to etch his name into the history books.

He beat Trevor Berbick a year after making his pro debut to win the WBC heavyweight title, before adding the WBA strap to his name the following year thanks to a unanimous decision win over James Smith. The IBF title was won by Tyson the same year after beating Tony Tucker on points.

Other notable names which Tyson has bested in his illustrious career include Frank Bruno, Michael Spinks, Carl Williams and Bruce Seldon. However, well past his prime, Tyson hasn't had a professional boxing match since his loss to Kevin McBride in 2005, only returning for an exhibition bout with Roy Jones Jr in 2020 which was declared a draw after eight rounds.

Paul, meanwhile, has crafted quite a name for himself in the world of pro boxing since making his debut against fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib four years ago. The 27-year-old brother of Logan Paul has faced and beaten stiff competition like UFC stars Ben Askren, Nate Diaz, Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva – with his only loss coming at the hands of Tommy Fury last February.

Butterbean has been incredibly vocal of wanting a fight with Paul over the last couple of years, after shedding a huge amount of weight with hopes of one last blowout in the squared circle. He initially called out Paul in March 2022, before doubling down on his offer by saying that they youngster "runs his mouth too much" months later.

In July 2024, Esch provided Paul with a lucrative £1.5million winner takes all scrap, before asking the boxer the following month: "Are we gonna do this or what?" He has also opened the door to a bout with Tyson, telling Chris Van Vliet: "I’m not trash-talking, I like Mike Tyson. But he’s actually small, he’s not a big guy.

"He’s powerful, I have no doubt! The reason me and Tyson would be a good fight, Tyson wouldn’t be afraid. He’s come right at me, we’d go to the centre of the ring and we’d beat the s*** out of each other. It would be a hell of a fight to watch."
