RTÉ Late Late Show viewers were divided by Rylan Clark’s new dating series after Patrick Kietly shared a trailer on Friday night’s show.

The second Late Late Show of the season saw host Patrick Kielty joined by Saoirse Ronan, to chat about her new movie, The Outrun, and working with her husband on set, the 'brilliant' Bundee Aki to talk about his recent citizenship, with Snow Patrol also playing some tunes.

TV presenter Rylan Clark also joined Patrick and Saoirse in the RTÉ studio to talk about his divisive new Paramount+ series Dating Naked UK and perform a duet or two with the host.

To give viewers at home a taste for the new dating series, Patrick played a trailer for the show, which sees 10 singletons head to Colombia for a Love Island-style show - where all contestants are naked.

“We filmed in Colombia, Rylan told Patrick about the new show. “So they were all very comfortable naked. I was the only one wearing clothes so I was a sweaty mess. I never wanted to be more naked in my life!”

Viewers rushed to social media to share their thoughts on the new dating series, with some viewers taken aback by its premise.

“Dating naked, why bother - just go to Spain or Greece - there will be nakedness,” One viewer penned.

“Rylan Clark talking about a lot of things. Didn't need to know of the existence of a second naked dating show,” a second wrote.

“Talking about naked TV reality shows..... I'm really starting to miss Tubridy,” another wrote.

Two other fans begged for the Late Late Show to “make it stop”, with one writing: “Late-Late Show please make this stop” and another sharing: “Oh Jesus. Make it stop lads!”
