Rajinikanth’s ‘Vettaiyan’ Overcomes Negativity & Hits Right Notes With Fans

Bhubaneswar: Overcoming all negativity and trolls around its release, Rajinikanth starrer ‘Vettaiyan’ has left fans impressed.

Contrary to reports of poor bookings, a huge crowd was seen dancing to Rajinikanth’s songs and throwing confetti outside Chennai’s Rohini Theatre to celebrate the screening of the movie.

Netizens took to social media to laud the veteran actor’s performance in the movie.

“Vettaiyan hits the right notes. A well-made film. The second-half curse is broken. The second-half curse is broken. It addresses a very important social issue that I’ve often raised concerns about, even as recently as last month in #Tamilnadu! Go watch! Pucca Thalaivar padam! Kudos @tjgnan!” wrote an X user.

One user shared a video showing fans celebrating the release of the movie and wrote, “What a film, what a celebration!”

Directed by TJ Gnanavel and produced by Subaskaran’s Lyca Productions, the film stars Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, and Abhirami.

However, ahead of its release, South star Thalapathy Vijay’s fans took to social media platforms to troll the veteran superstar for ‘Vettaiyan’.

“You reap what you sow,” wrote one person in X.

Sharing a video clip from one of Vijay’s movies, another fan wrote, “Vijay fans celebrate to Vettaiyan”.

Another netizen shared a screenshot showing the poorly booked slot for ‘Vettaiyan’.

Another user wrote, “#VettaiyanDisaster – Mayajaal 16screen multiplex has an average seating capacity of 150 seats out of which 60 to 70 seats are empty for each and every show which is clear in the screen recording.”
