British Columbian clocks to fall back an hour Sunday
by Charles Brockman · CityNewsHave you found yourself recently wishing for an extra hour of sleep? There’s good news: Daylight Saving Time (DST) ends Sunday.
British Columbians will set their clocks back an hour on Nov. 3.
That means instead of 1:59 a.m. rolling forward to 2 a.m. Sunday, Pacific Standard Time will jump back to 1 a.m.
In Canada, time zones and DST have been regulated by provincial and territorial governments.
Parts of the country have observed DST since 1908. B.C. first bought in to the tradition ten years later.
The National Research Council says the jump has been regulated to the first Sunday in November since 2007.
As a result of the time change, the sun will set in Sunday evening in Vancouver around 4:46 p.m.
