Pete Wicks moaned to Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood about iconic tattoo

by · DevonLive

Pete Wicks was left blushing after a stunt on Strictly Come Dancing involving judge Craig Revel Horwood. Ex-TOWIE star Pete revealed a temporary tattoo of the notoriously hard-to-please judge during last Saturday's show.

The tattoo depicted Craig, 59, holding up a paddle with a score of 10 - a score he rarely gives out, having gone almost an entire series in 2015 without awarding it. Craig is known for his cautious approach to scoring, reserving the top mark for "absolutely perfect" dances with "no faults".

In their quest for that elusive 10, Pete and his partner Jowita Przystał went above and beyond last weekend. However, the stunt seemed to have backfired for Pete, 36, who struggled to remove the image of Craig from his torso.

Writing in Best magazine, Craig commented: "Pete's stick on tattoo with a picture of me giving a 10 was inspired. Although the score was certainly wishful thinking on his part.

"The funny thing was, I bumped into him in the car park after the show and he was complaining he couldn't remove my face - I'm sure it will come off in the show eventually. He is a good stick - really charming, funny, and down to earth," reports Birmingham Live.

The official Strictly Instagram account shared a photo of Pete's tattoo, captioning it: "Technically this is the first 10 of #Strictly 2024".

Fans were ecstatic about the performance, with one viewer commending Pete and fellow contestant, comedian Chris McCausland. They commented: "Pete and Chris [McCausland] ARE Strictly 2024! ! ! and this tattoo was so funny."

Another fan exclaimed: "This was brilliant! ! Fab dance too for Pete."

Pete and Jowita have charmed viewers throughout the series, sparking speculation of a potential romance.

However, the 30 year old professional dancer, while acknowledging their "very good chemistry together," has clarified that they are "very good friends". In a conversation with OK! magazine at the Pride of Britain Awards, Jowita remarked: "We have very good chemistry together as friends, we really get on well with each other, and we have so much fun together. And dancing is a bit like acting, so we're telling a story every night on Saturday night, and I think we're doing a pretty good job with that."

She continued: "But we're very good friends, and I love him so much as a brother, and I think we're going to stay friends for life, to be honest."
