Kate Middleton and Prince William's love story has been enchanting people worldwide, mirroring a fairytale with its long-lasting appeal that began during their university years.

Continually spotted sharing sweet looks and discreet touches at official engagements, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge prove that their partnership is as robust now as when they first fell for each other back in 2001.

We previously reported a delightful little nugget about the couple: every night after reading to their children, the Prince of Wales presents his Duchess with a token of affection to keep the romance alive.

Despite their regal titles, Kate and Wills are just like any other couple enjoying life's little pleasures - including unwinding with a favourite beverage whether it's a sophisticated cocktail, a gin and tonic, or a simple pint.

According to the Daily Record, a source revealed that William often prepares a nightcap for Kate after the little ones, George, Charlotte, and Louis, are settled in bed, reports Edinburgh Live.

Initial rumours that the Princess preferred a hefty glass of Guinness have since been contradicted by more recent Royal gossip.

A palace source revealed: "William will bring Kate a gin and tonic. They look after each other, but in different ways."

Kate and William's romance blossomed at St Andrews University, where she studied Art History and he Geography. Their relationship had its ups and downs before they tied the knot in a grand ceremony at Westminster Abbey in 2011.

The Royal couple is celebrated for their supportive dynamic, collaborating on causes close to their hearts like mental health, while also championing their individual advocacies.

Chatting with OK!, ex-BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond observed: "Catherine has demonstrated in recent months and even years that she is the real deal. I think her strength is drawn from the fact that she was given such a long apprenticeship."

"Those nine or 10 years when she was allowed to see a little bit of what life will be like in the royal court were completely invaluable," Bond continued.

Bond further commented: "I suppose she seemed a little bit shy in the beginning. But I think if you compare that relationship to Charles and Diana, it strikes me that William deserves a great deal of credit because he has never appeared jealous of the attention that his wife gets."

"He has gently introduced her into what life would be like and has let her shine and constantly demonstrates that he's hugely proud of her."

"When she campaigns on certain issues, like mental health or early years learning, he allows her centre stage without quibble. They are an incredibly strong couple which gives her a great deal of confidence."
