‘Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6’ launch trailer has fans comparing game to a movie

The new trailer is more cinematic than gameplay

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 comes out October 25, and people have commented that its launch trailer reminds them of movies rather than a game.

The trailer shows off more of the story, where it seems like players will be uncovering some of the secrets behind the U.S. invasion of Iraq. There are tanks in airports, planes dropping bombs, and spec ops soldiers on the ground getting into gun and fistfights. It also showed off the new omnimovement that divided players during the beta.

“COD release a new game trailer ❌ COD release a new movie trailer ✅,” wrote Nakibulislam06 on YouTube. There are a lot of cutscenes in the trailer, so a lot of the comments are saying this isn’t really a gameplay trailer at all.

The trailer also seems to show a zombie being mentioned during the main campaign. It looks like it’s the result of some sort of biological weapon. There’s also a shot of Frank Woods in a wheelchair weilding a shotgun, and some are wondering if other Black Ops characters like Reznov will be making an appearance.

“Finally! Back to Michal bay the game,” wrote Mr.K2022. There are lots of explosions in the trailer, as there are in every Call of Duty campaign. The series has become known for its big set pieces that involve death-defying feats. “the graphics are insane,” added juandiegogarcia1929.

One feature not shown in the trailer but used extensively in the beta is the ability to take an opponent hostage. At that point, if they’ve got voice chat turned on, you can sing to them or whisper sweet nothings in their ear. Some players have used the mechanic for other purposes, though.
