Strictly Come Dancing spoiler leaks BBC result shocker as high scorer lands in bottom two

The Strictly Come Dancing spoiler leaked early on Sunday morning after the fourth BBC live show of the new series on Saturday

After fans were kept waiting overnight for this week's Strictly Come Dancing spoiler to leak, it has finally emerged to reveal a shock result, as a high scorer fell into the bottom two for the first time.

Continuing where Movie Week left off, the fourth live show of Strictly's new series was a high scoring affair, as host of stars got their best scores of the series so far. The last to perform this weekend, Tasha Ghouri proved that producers saved the best for last, as she and pro partner Aljaz very nearly got a perfect score for their Charleston, with Craig Revel-Horwood the only judge not to give a 10.

Until Tasha and Aljaz's routine, it had been Jamie Borthwick and Wynne Evans who led the way on the leaderboard, with both of them getting new personal bests of 34 out of 40, while, at the other end of the standings, it was a really bad week for Punam Krishan and Gorka Marquez, as they ended up in bottom position, having seen their score drop from 33 to just 20 in the space of seven days.

There was also a setback for previous high scorers Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola, with them ending up fourth from bottom on a score of 27 for their Foxtrot, having been second for three weeks in a row.

While the Strictly results won't be officially revealed on screen until Sunday night's BBC results show, the spoiler once again leaked the outcome of the dance-off well before that, although not until Sunday morning, after fans were kept waiting overnight. Some speculated that the delay was down to a 'shock result' and they weren't wrong as, when it did finally leak, the spoiler revealed that one of this year's highest scoring stars ended up in the dance-off.

ChronicleLive has decided not to name the star in question, but their fate has had a huge reaction online. In total shock, one fan replied: "Thank god for the judges!!" as another responded: "Looks like they're not as not as popular as they think!"
