Gervais took to X to announce the first set of 11 dates for the show, which is titled 'Mortality'. A performance during the upcoming tour will also be filmed to become the Reading-born comic's latest Netflix special.
This tour continues what has been a very busy year for the comedian, as he has performed 80 work-in-progress shows in 2024. His last stand-up special, titled 'Armageddon', won a Golden Globe, and earned him the world record for the highest grossing comedy gig of all time.
In a brief statement, Gervais said: "We’re all gonna die. May as well have a laugh about it. Mortality looks at the absurdities of life. And death. Bring it on."
