Loose Women stars left gagging as they're shown Big Brother housemates 'nasty' habit

Loose Women was thrown into chaos as the panel discussed a scene from Big Brother's first live eviction of the new series, and they weren't impressed.

Loose Women descended into disarray on Monday (October 14) as the panelists dissected a scene from Big Brother's first live eviction of the new series, expressing their distaste.

Host Christine Lampard introduced 20 year old housemate Lily Benson and proceeded to show a clip of Lily sitting on the sofa post-eviction, picking her nose with her eyes shut.

Adding to the shock, the Chinese takeaway worker seemed unfazed as she transferred the contents of her nose into her mouth. Despite objections from other housemates, Lily continued her unhygienic habit live on TV.

Christine warned her Loose Women colleagues: "Housemate Lily has been caught digging, and when I say digging, I'm going to ask you to look away if you can't deal with that kind of thing."

Following the Big Brother footage, Dame Kelly Holmes could be heard gagging, pleading with fellow panelists not to repeat Christine's phrase "digging for gold.", reports the Mirror.

"Kelly is horrified, to be fair our audience was horrified then as well", Christine noted while Brenda Edwards implored the housemates to "not do that" and labelled the act as "nasty".

"You're not good with that at all", Christine asked Kelly, who responded: "No, nothing like that. That's why I don't go on I'm A Celeb", before feigning sickness.

Brenda then added: "I don't think there are many people that would be good with sitting and watching somebody doing that and then doing what she did afterward, that's just nastiness."

Brenda stated: "For me, I think it's something that you need to stamp out from an early age, like when you're a child."

She continued, saying she would call out anybody in her presence who displayed the same habit as Big Brother star Lily and urged people to do it in private.

She added: "It's about etiquette, I mean she (Lily) looked like she had fallen asleep doing that, it looked therapeutic for her. No."
