Racegoers brave the chill in frocks and heels as they attend Ascot

While many of the races take part earlier in the year, the organisation is holding an event today mixing races with live entertainment and fireworks.
According to the event information: 'Jumps racing returns with a bang, crackle and boom at Ascot’s Fireworks Spectacular.
'Welcoming the 2024/25 Jumps season in exquisite style, Ascot’s Fireworks Spectacular sets the stage for an array of exceptional races, including one you really won’t want to miss - the Gold Cup Handicap Chase.'
There will also be fairground rides as well as what the event organisers have simply described as other 'spooky activities'.
A number of attendees have been snapped attending today's event, with many showing that despite the cold weather, they are determined to show off their classic racecourse style.
Among them, was one reveller who braved the cold to go bare-legged in a stylisj white minidress.
Another racegoer donned a sleeveless gown boasting a thigh high split, pairing it with strappy sandals.
Meanwhile, others maintained their sense of style while still dressing practically, including one woman who topped her light chiffon-style frock with a faux fur jacket.
