First look snaps of Grammy-nominated Charli XCX in 100 Nights Of Hero

Her latest album debuted as the 'most critically acclaimed record of the year' and a few months ago she sparked a global trend with her recklessness, eccentric behaviour, and risqué attitude.

But now Charli XCX has swapped BRAT girl summer for fantasy girl autumn as she was spotted on set for the first time filming her new movie, 100 Nights Of Hero, on Wednesday.

The Grammy-nominated popstar, 32, looked worlds away from her usual self in first look images for the queer period drama based on Isabel Greenberg's graphic novel.

Although her role is yet to be announced, Charli looked regal as she made her way around set in a floor-length green crushed velvet gown, with a matching patterned robe thrown over the top.

The eccentric outfit featured a black statement belt with a golden sun symbol in the middle and a large pendant necklace to complete the look.

She wore her long black tresses in a voluminous wavy style and seemed to go makeup-free as she shot outdoor scenes with Olivia D'Lima and Kerena Jagpal.

As the three actresses walked side by side, Olivia and Kerena donned similar green ensembles.

They had serious looks on their faces as they made their way around the set in what looks like the middle of a field, before stopping in front of a huge blue screen.

Charli made sure to keep warm as she wrapped herself in a warm fluffy coat in between takes.

They also filmed scenes with another cast member who wore an equally unique period outfit consisting of a long red robe, hat, and masquerade mask.

100 Nights Of Hero is a feminist re-telling of 1001 Nights, or Arabian Nights, and follows a charming house guest played by Nicholas Galitzine.

He arrives at a remote castle, and is introduced to a neglectful husband, his innocent bride Cherry (Maika Monroe), and their devoted maid Hero (Emma Corrin).

The film, based on Isabel Greenberg's graphic novel of the same name sees Nicolas play a lecherous villain who arrives at his friends home and enters into a bet that he can seduce his wife Cherry within 100 days.

But Cherry is wise to his plans, and with the help of her lover and maid Hero, tells a series of captivating tales to distract the villain from his cruel intentions.

The film will also star Peaky Blinders star Michael Keogh, as Charli joins the stellar cast for her first major film role.

The popstar recently revealed she was worried Lorde would 'never speak' to her again after not telling the Ribs singer about her song Girl, So Confusing.

She explained to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 that she didn't tell her pal about the track, that is said to be about their relationship, until the day before its release.

'I was ready for her to never speak to me again. That could have been an outcome,' she shared  earlier this month.

In the track she sings: 'Sometimes I think I might hate you / Maybe you just wanna be me and 'People say we're alike / They say we've got the same hair / We talk about making music / But I don't know if it's honest.'

The Boom Clap hitmaker confirmed the record touches on the ambivalent feelings she had toward the 27-year-old over their careers.

Earlier this year, she told Rolling Stone she was 'jealous' of the success Lorde — real name Ella Yelich-O'Connor — achieved with her mega hit Royals that launched her into stardom in 2013.

Following the release of her sixth studio album, brat, singer-songwriter Charli made Gen Z do a 180 on the once-fashionable clean girl aesthetic

She told the outlet: 'I was super jealous of the success that [Royals] got, and that Ella got.

'You piece all this stuff together in your brain, like: 'She was into my music. She had big hair; I had big hair.

'She wore black lipstick; I once wore black lipstick.' You create these parallels and think, 'Well, that could have been me.''

Brats are edgy, or in the words of Charli XCX during a BBC interview, they are: 'Trashy. Just like a pack of cigs and, like, a Bic lighter. And, like, a strappy white top. With no bra. That's, like, kind of all you need.'

The album, released in June, received universal acclaim, debuting at number two on the UK Albums Chart, as well as reaching the top ten in multiple other countries, including America.

The 15-song album encompassed various trademark features - from its slime green colour theme to its title - brat - all being in lowercases.

In a matter of days, Charli XCX spearheaded a new movement, with slime green flags waving in the crowds of Glastonbury declaring the start of brat girl summer.
