H&M crockery ridiculed for looking like it's covered in poo

H&M's new crockery line has been slammed online by shoppers who say it looks as though it is covered in faeces.

The high street fashion retailer, which also has a Home range, has launched a brand new dinnerware line including serving dishes, mugs, jugs and even a butter dish - all of which look as though they have been splattered by poo, according to prospective customers.

One cheeky customer wrote: 'My husband decorates our toilet in the exact same pattern. Might as well get something to match in the kitchen.'

Another said: 'Those are the plates that you use when you don't want guests to return.'

Someone else suggested that instead of the 'speckled-glazed stoneware' line, H&M should call it 'the spray collection'. Luxurious.

While a 'patterned' plate costs £9.99, a butter dish of the same suspicious design will set you back £14.99.

But the collection seemed to pass the sniff test on H&M's website, with many online reviewers giving the products five stars.

'This looks so expensive,' one wrote.

Another said: 'Such a pretty mug with a solid, heavier weight feel. Perfect size.

One review raved about the 'speckled pattern' and argued it added a 'handmade touch to it'. Handmade or man-made?

The collection is available in H&M home stores up and down the UK, as well as on the website.

H&M has declined to comment.
