Santander is the latest major bank to launch a switching deal in the pre-Christmas switching rush.

Santander says it will "offer a simple, reliable and stress-free way to switch your current account using the Current Account Switch Service" moving forward.

Customers can get the cash boost by Christmas with the high street bank offering those with an account a "quick boost" for the festive season.
